Catching up.

It has been a really long time since I have updated my blog so there are going to be a bunch of random entries that are probably in no way in any order, but I thought I would still put them down.  Just a quick update.  Zach and I are expecting our second child.  I know this is a little late in being posted, but I am due May 17th.  We are having another little boy and are very excited about it.  If you ask Connor, there is a brother in my belly and one in his too.  We have moved him into his new room and a big bed.  We are also in the process of potty training, which he is doing great at.  I stay at home and love taking care of him.  Things are busy in getting the nursery ready and painted.  I will have to get pictures up when it is done, if that happens.  Zach owns a little car dealership in Lehi and works from home some mornings before going into the "office."  We are in a great place in life.  We love our home and where we live.  Life is just wonderful.

Let it snow!!

The other day Zach decided to take Connor out into the snow.  They got all decked out in their snow gear.  Quite an ordeal to get Connor into hat, gloves, coat, scarf, snowpants, and boots.  Once that was done, they headed out side.
Connor wasn't so sure about getting snow on his nice snow gear.  Zach decided to take him to the park behind our house to let him play a little bit.  Connor wouldn't move.  He was just stand there and want Zach to hold him.

Zach tried to get Connor to walk to him.  He tossed Connor out a little ways and tried to persuade him into walking to him.  Connor was not happy about this at all, but eventually made it to Zach and promptly told him that he wanted to come back inside.  Unfortunately Connor still does not like the snow, but doesn't mind being outside as long as he doesn't get wet at all.  Hopefully next winter will be much better.

More Connor

Zach's grandma Nana lives close by and we try to see her often.  The last time we were there Connor tried on her glasses.  He basically loves anything at Nana's

Super Cooking Connor!!!

Connor loves to help cook anything.  He loves to stir anything I will give him and is in charge of the mixer when we make cookies.  We recently made a lot of butter shortbread cookies for an activity.  We used a "cookie gun" (which he is holding) to press the cookies.  He also wanted to where his "cape" while he was helping.  He really is a Super Helper.

Sock Boy

Connor got two little sores on the bridge of his nose.  We found out one morning, when we went in and there was blood all over his face and bed, that he is a picker.  We tried many things to get him to stop.  We put Band-Aids on the sores, we taped his finger tips, and we a few other things.  Finally we decided that drastic measures had to be taken.  One night Zach grabbed the duct tape and I grabbed some socks.  We went into Connor's room when we knew he was asleep.  I grab one arm and put the sock over it while Zach duct taped it to his pajamas so that he couldn't take it off.  We did the same thing with the other arm.  Connor was pretty groggy through that whole thing.  It wasn't until about 3 in the morning that we heard a surprised squawk from his room.  He now thinks it is pretty cool that he gets to wear socks on his hands.  His sores are gone, but we found that since it is so dry in our house, Connor now picks his lips until they bleed.  So it looks like for now we are going to have to keep the socks on his hands.

Mmmm, Corn

This summer Connor discovered corn. It took a little bit for Connor to really figure out how to eat it, but as soon as that hurdle was crossed, all he wanted to do was eat corn. Thanks to my parents who gave us some of their corn and also helped teach him how to eat it.

Entertainment Tonight

Zach and I had the opportunity to take Connor to participate in the filming of a new little kids movie for a company called Little Play Dates. Entertainment Tonight came out to film some of what was going on to do a special on it in a month or so. We thought that this was Connor's chance to be a star. We got up to the ranch in Heber where the filming was going to take place and met with all of the parents and kids. They split us up into a few groups and then sent us out to play. This was Connor most of the time:
I didn't know that he was so antisocial. All of the kids were playing great and looking great for the camera. Connor enjoyed pushing his stroller around about as far away as he could get from everyone else. We did finally get him into playing on the hay with some of the other kids. Once he got there he really enjoyed dancing to the music and looking into the camera.

Overall I think that it turned out well. I don't think that it is quite the occupation that Connor would choose. But it was fun to take him and watch him play.
